Movement in art and film, to me, is when there is subtle yet strong message to the user/viewer/ listener. By using relativity, the author uses past experiences, whether good or bad, to connect with the audience on a deeper level. From the research I have been a part of, I discovered many different pieces of art that made me think about my own life and how it paralleled the videos and articles I researched. Depending on the perspective or point of view of the author, the message could have been inspiring or thought provoking. When I open my mind to what the message is, I see the power behind it. As a result, the impression left on me can be a variety of emotions. From incredibly elated, to utter sadness, I saw my emotions fluctuate so many different ways that I have a newfound respect for this type of material. While it may not be something I immediately go out and purchase for viewing pleasure, I see the importance of this media and do not disregard it as I had before. This truly was an eye-opening experience and will be continuously so grateful for this experience.
