I had to watch the movie twice to see if I missed anything!. To me the movie had a “Max Headroom” feel to it. Looking back, Tom the butler called himself an agent (Matrix term) before the movie Matrix came out. Interesting, huh? the idea of interactive communications and “browsing” were such foreign ideas to me at that time and now so commonplace, that I can’t remember when the exact moment occurred and where I was when it happened. Fascinating film and yet so sad that Douglas Adams died so young. The novel is great! I am almost done with it and the thing that strikes me is the doors on the ship that open when they “sense” you approaching it. And funny that the it is the doors objective to make you feel good about it. The “guide” is what I enjoyed reading about as well as discovering that as long as you have your towel, you got your stuff together! Don’t Panic!
